Shipping Services

All our deliveries are trackable and insured.

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes - we need a physical address for our courier service.

For New Zealand deliveries we use Courier Post - we send signature required packs, so the nominated addressee has to sign for a package when it arrives. If no one is home at the time of delivery, a card to call will be left with a tracking number to take to the depot for pick up.

For deliveries outside of New Zealand, we use EMS Economy Courier.

Shipping Timeframes

Shipping will take anywhere between 2 - 6 working days.

When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates.

Depending on the destination you may have to pay additional taxes or import duties. Contact your local customs office for more information.

Customer Care Information

In order to keep your jewellery in top condition please use the following guidelines :

Be careful with exposure to excessive heat and light.

Just as the sun's rays can damage our skin, the sun can also damage stones and other organic materials in your jewellery. Stones such as Fluorite, Amethyst, Topaz and others, as well as other materials such as Mother of Pearl Shell, Mammoth Ivory and Deer Antler can bleach or become damaged in other ways if left in the sun for too long. This does not typically happen while you are wearing them, but more so in the case if they are left sitting in the sun for a period time.

Keep your jewellery away from chemicals.

Cosmetics such as hairspray, perfume and moisturiser can contain chemicals that can damage your jewellery. Metals can become discoloured and organic materials such as Shell, Ivory, Pearls and even stones such as Turquoise can be negatively affected by these chemicals. Swimming pools that contain chlorine can also be damaging to your jewellery as can soaps and household cleaning products. The best idea is to remove your jewellery before they can be in contact with any of these substances.

Be careful when you wear your jewellery.

Jewellery can be knocked or scratched in everyday situations and often these are pure accidents which are hard to avoid. But we advise you remove jewellery if you think that it may come into harms way. Sports, going out to concerts, dancing and other energetic activities can be high risk situations for your jewellery. The same thing applies if you are doing various everyday tasks such as gardening, cleaning the car or in other ways working with your hands. We also advise you take your jewellery off before sleeping, showering, swimming or taking a bath.

Always store your jewellery well.

Keep your jewellery separately in soft velvet bags or in jewellery boxes. If your jewellery is able to rub against each other it can easily get tangled or damaged. Store in a cool, dry place that is not in direct sunlight.

Take care while traveling.

Everything is in motion when we travel so make sure you store each piece separately and securely so that it can't get tangled or rub against anything which may cause damage. You can purchase jewellery travelling cases or pouches which roll up, these are very good and worth the cost. Also note that our bullet design has been confiscated at customs in the past so best not to wear it when boarding a plane, just keep it in your check-in luggage.

Cleaning tips and guidelines.

We recommend using a soft jewellery-specific polishing cloth to polish your gold, brass and silver. You can use cleaning products made specifically for each metal, but be extremely careful in the way you do this and follow the instructions on the product. You can also clean your jewellery gently with warm water and a mild soap (not detergent) and a very soft brush such as an artist paintbrush or an unused makeup brush. To help prevent tarnishing you can store each piece in a small sealed plastic bag, or use anti-tarnish strips which can absorb the oxidants that cause tarnishing. Avoid cleaning damaged jewellery as this can sometimes make the situation worse. The best thing to do with damaged jewellery is give it to your local jeweller, or bring it directly to us and we can advise you on what course of action to take.

Regularly inspect your jewellery.

It's a very good idea to give your jewellery a good inspection every so often to make sure that there are no problems about to arise. Rather than waiting for a stone to fall out or something else to go wrong, a quick inspection can often reveal an accident waiting to happen. Then you can get the problem fixed before it's too late.

Keep an inventory of your collection.

Jewellery can easily get misplaced or lost, and of course stolen. If you keep an up to date inventory of your collection (which can just be a quick photo with your phone) this can help when tracking down pieces and of course with insurance claims.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Nick Von K do commissions or custom pieces?

Yes we do - here are just a few examples. Email us with your concept!

There's a Nick Von K piece that I want, but it’s not on the website. Is it available?

It might be - sometimes we are out of stock, but you can email us and ask if we’re getting it in again soon, or you could commission your own custom design inspired by that out-of-stock piece.

I’m buying a ring. How do I make sure it’s the right size?

You need to get your finger sized and let us know what size you are. You can size your finger in millimetres using a piece of string around your finger then measuring it; or you can enlist the help of a jeweller. When you’re purchasing your ring through the website there’ll be a section where you can add the ring size information. If you forget to do that you can also email us after the purchase with your finger size.

What are the dimensions of the piece I want to buy?

We’re working on listing this information on our product pages, but if it’s not there yet, feel free to contact us and ask.

I’m ordering a necklace, does it come with a chain?

All necklaces come with a 75cm sterling silver chain with a sterling silver NVK tag, unless otherwise specified.

Does my order come with any packaging?

Every NVK piece comes in its own velvet lined NVK box. When you order any piece online we’ll send it to you very well protected and bubble wrapped.

I have a sales enquiry, who do I talk to?

You’re welcome to email, call us on (+64) 09 550 9505 or drop in to our studio in Auckland.
