Homeland is inspired by my love of New Zealand.
I personally source all our NZ Greenstone by travelling to Hokitika in the South Island of New Zealand and buying stone directly from the locals there. They often find it in the rivers of that area water-tumbled smooth by the journey down from the mountains.
The Maori word for this stone is Pounamu, which means treasure. For me this stone is like a crystalised form of the green lifeblood that flows through nature.
As a Kiwi I create designs that remind me of my connection to this land, the Jet Plane for example was my favourite lollie as a kid, and the other shapes I use are distillations of identity and connection to this place I call home.
