This pendant is interactive - the fantail can be lifted up from the nest to reveal the turquoise egg nestled inside, and yet the fantial is securely threaded onto the chain and sits perfectly inside the nest when worn.

The friendliest of the native New Zealand birds, the Fantail. I love it when I'm walking through native NZ bush and these happy little birds flit and fly around me. Apparently they are feasting on the mosquitoes that are drawn to us but I like to think they are just friendly little dudes coming to say hello.
