Releasing our beloved Pounamu Claddagh ring in Gold. Featuring a bezel set heart shape Pounamu, cradled in two hands, and tiara detail atop. A stunning marriage of New Zealand and Irish traditions. All set in 9 carat yellow gold.
The classic Claddagh design is rich in symbolism: the hands represent friendship, the heart symbolises love, and the tiara signifies royalty. Steeped in tradition, the Claddagh can also used to express relationship status. When worn on the right hand with the heart facing outward, it signifies that the wearer is single; with the heart facing inward, it indicates a relationship. When worn on the left hand, a heart facing outward represents engagement, while a heart facing inward, toward the wearer; signifies marriage.
The Pounamu measures 6mm x 6mm. Genuine NZ Pounamu, sourced and collected personally by Nick himself from Hokitika, South Island.
