Pounamu Riverstone Pendant #10
Carved into the shape of a riverstone tumbled smoothed into a perfect oval by it's journey down the river. This design is inspired by the rivers of the Hokitika region where most of the top quality Pounamu is found in New Zealand.
This particular pendant has beautiful golden flower inclusions running deep into a light apple green jade, it's quite an unusual colour.
Each of these pendants are numbered because they are one offs and carved into slightly different shapes using different stones each with its own unique character. The silver part is also individually carved from wax to fit each piece of stone.
I carved each of these pendants myself choosing a particular of the stone to capture the effect of the colour changes within the stone.
Hung on our heavier gauge 75cm sterling silver chain.
