The Process Behind Elya’s Engagement Ring

Tim came to me to create a ring to propose to Elya with.

He said to me she loved the idea of ‘dappled light through leaves’ so I suggested we customise our classic Blossom ring design with this idea in mind.

We swapped out the central diamond for a custom rose cut piece of dark green Pounamu, and used light green coloured Pounamu for contrast in the leaves either side.

'Rose cut' means the facets are on the top of the gemstone, rather than underneath, and we both felt the sparkle in the rose cut really brought to life the idea of dappled light through the leaves.

And needless to say you can see they were both over the moon with it!
